How to change location tracking frequency
In the parent app, tap on the device you want to adjust settings for from the map view screen. Then tap the gray gears on the right at the top of the map view. Next, tap on Device settings. Here you can toggle the automatic location updates to 15, 30, 45, or 60 minute intervals. More frequent updates will increase battery drain, so find the balance that works best for you.
Daytime only updates
You can also choose whether the watch pings location around the clock, or only during daytime hours 7am-7pm.
